Fundamentals Camp

Midwestern State Women’s Basketball Fundamentals Camp is designed to develop position specific fundamentals and enhance team play. Each camper will learn how to be a more complete player as they develop skills in ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding, offensive movement and defensive footwork. Campers will then have the opportunity to integrate their position work into team play concepts.

Features of Camp

• Commuting Campers only, no overnight options on campus
• No lunch will be provided, please pack your own lunch or prepare to buy pizza at the concession stand (cash only is accepted)
• MSU Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff and players
• Skills training sessions broken down by position and ability level
• Chalk Talks from MSU Coaching Staff and Players
• Facility tour and insight on playing basketball in college
• Encouragement on how to get to college and the value of education
• MSU Women’s Basketball team maintains 100% graduation rate and we will talk about some of the habits our team develops while also being highly competitive basketball players
• Competitive Basketball games and awards given during camp
• 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and understanding spacing on the court
• Learn effective communication on the court by talking and connecting
• High energy drills and fun with drilling the fundamentals of basketball
• Building chemistry with others and learning how to be a great teammate

Please Feel Free to Bring a Small Bag with the Following Items
Small towel, sealed water bottle, and a good pair of basketball shoes (please no black soles). Also, extra cash is recommended for snack and drinks at the camp concession.

Handwashing and applying Hand Sanitizer will be conducted throughout camp at breaks.
